A farming family in Russia’s Novgorod Region is hoping to supply the country's tables with a new variety of beef. They have begun to breed American bison - and they say the animals have adapted well to the Russian climate.

Dear friends, we are happy to welcome you to the Russian Bison Ranch in the Lyubtsy village in the region of Veliky Novgorod, Russia. Here we are raising American plains bison. At present there are 400,000 American plains bison in the United States and Canada. Now you can see some of them in North-Western Russia, between St. Petersburg and Moscow, in Novgorod County.

You can come to us on a field trip to study the conditions in which the bison live. You will feel at home (at the hotel). You can choose to support one or more bison and receive a personal certificate for your support of these ancient animals. Thanks to your support the bison will receive food, vitamins, veterinary care, inoculations, fresh water, etc.
